An online store without the right integrations still works, but it will never perform. The difference between a shop that handles 50 orders a day with two people and one that handles 500 with the same two people comes down to how much of the workflow runs on its own: shipping labels, invoices, confirmation emails, supplier stock updates. Pronet Design has built every category of integration described here for more than 160 online stores in Romania. This article is the full list - payment processors, couriers, invoicing systems and ERPs available on open source platforms.
Why integrations make the difference
Every missing integration turns into manual work. Every manual step costs time, invites mistakes and caps how far you can grow. In practice:
- No courier integration → every shipping label is created by hand, copied into the courier portal → five minutes per order → at 100 orders a day that is eight hours gone
- No SmartBill or Oblio integration → every invoice issued manually, then filed manually with ANAF, Romania's tax authority, through the RO e-Factura system (mandatory for B2B since 2024 and for B2C since 2025) → you risk fines for missing the five working day deadline
- No email marketing integration → abandoned carts are never recovered → revenue you already earned walks away
- No supplier stock feed → you sell products you do not have → cancelled orders and unhappy customers
Online payment processors in Romania
The Romanian payments market is more varied than in many other European countries. We integrate every major processor available locally:
| Processor | What it brings |
|---|---|
| Netopia Payments (mobilPay) | Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay. The most widely used Romanian processor. |
| PayU Romania | Interest-free instalments. Built-in buy now, pay later. Strong presence in retail. |
| Stripe | 135+ currencies, modern checkout, the right choice if you sell abroad. |
| ePlatesc / Euplatesc | Romanian processor with competitive fees at higher volumes. |
| Revolut Pay | One-tap payment for Revolut users, a group growing fast in Romania. |
| ING Pay | Card gateway (Mastercard/Visa) operated by ING Bank Romania. |
| iPay (Banca Transilvania) | Ties into the largest bank in Romania by customer base. |
| UniCredit instalments | A module we built from scratch. Interest-free UniCredit instalments straight from checkout. |
| TBI Rate | Instalment payments, useful once your average basket passes EUR 500. |
| LeanPay | Romanian buy now, pay later provider with instant approval. |
| Bank transfer | Bank details shown automatically at checkout and in the confirmation email. Essential for B2B. |
| Apple Pay / Google Pay | Available through Netopia, Stripe and PayU - one-tap payment on mobile. |
Some market context: card payments account for between 28.8% and 45.62% of online transactions in Romania (2025) and keep gaining ground on cash on delivery. Buy now, pay later sits at 8.2% and is climbing fast, so an instalment option can lift the average basket noticeably on premium products.
Couriers and logistics - automatic shipping labels
With more than 10,000 pickup points and parcel lockers live in Romania in 2026, and 65% of shoppers saying they prefer locker delivery (Sameday, 2024), connecting to the locker networks is no longer a nice extra. It is table stakes.
| Courier | What the integration covers |
|---|---|
| Fan Courier | Automatic shipping labels, tracking, cash on delivery and FanBox lockers. The largest network in the country. |
| Sameday | Automatic labels plus easybox lockers and same-day delivery in the larger cities. |
| GLS | Automatic labels and European delivery - a good fit for B2B exports. |
| Pallex | Pallets and oversized parcels. The one you need for furniture and large appliances. |
| DPD | Automatic labels and international delivery across the EU. |
| Urgent Cargus | Automatic labels, nationwide coverage. |
| Dragon Star | Specialised deliveries and hard-to-reach areas. |
Invoicing, accounting and ERP
Now that e-Factura is mandatory (B2B since 2024, B2C since 2025), connecting your shop to an invoicing system that files with ANAF automatically is no longer optional:
| System | Type of integration |
|---|---|
| SmartBill | Native connection to the shop. SmartBill files invoices automatically into the ANAF RO e-Factura system. The most widely used option in Romania. |
| Oblio | Native, e-Factura included. The popular alternative to SmartBill. |
| Facturis | Direct integration, e-Factura included. |
| SAGA | Romanian ERP - direct integration with stock and order sync. |
| Priority ERP | Fully custom - two-way API for orders, stock and invoices. |
| Senior Software | Fully custom integration. |
| Expert Contab / Nexus | Custom integrations built to the client's requirements. |
| Any ERP with an API | We build the module. If there is an API, there is an integration. |
Email marketing and marketing automation
Between 5% and 15% of abandoned carts can be recovered through automated email sequences. That is the single integration with the fastest payback in most stores we build.
| Platform | What it is good for |
|---|---|
| WhiteImage | Romanian platform. We built the OpenCart module ourselves, so the product catalogue and order history sync both ways. |
| TheMarketer | Romanian platform combining email, SMS and on-site personalisation. |
| Newsman | Romanian provider, good deliverability on local ISPs, straightforward pricing. |
| Mailchimp | International standard. Fine for newsletters, more expensive once your list grows. |
| Klaviyo | Built for eCommerce. Detailed segmentation and revenue attribution per campaign. |
Marketplaces and product feeds
Selling in more than one place means your stock has to stay in sync everywhere, automatically.
- eMAG Marketplace (Romania's largest online marketplace): two-way integration. Products, stock and prices go up, orders come back down into your own admin.
- Comparison engines such as Favi, Compari and Price: automatically generated XML feeds, refreshed on a schedule.
- Any marketplace with a public API: we write the connector against their documentation.
Why the agency matters more than the platform
A B2C store with 100 products and a single courier is a different animal from a B2B store with 50,000 SKUs, tiered pricing per client and an ERP that has to stay authoritative. The integration list looks similar on paper. The work behind it does not.
Pronet Design has been building online stores in Sibiu since 2017: more than 160 projects delivered and 6 trophies at GPeC, Romania's main eCommerce competition. Every integration we build stays yours - you get the source code, and there is no monthly licence fee for the connectors.

Frequently asked questions
Are these integrations available on OpenCart, PrestaShop and Magento alike?
Yes. Most Romanian providers publish modules for OpenCart and PrestaShop. For Magento, or for anything without a ready-made module, we build the connector against the provider's API.
Do I have to use SmartBill or Oblio?
No, but you do need some invoicing system that talks to RO e-Factura, the mandatory e-invoicing system run by ANAF, Romania's tax authority. SmartBill and Oblio are simply the two we integrate most often.
What is the difference between FanBox and standard Fan Courier delivery?
FanBox is the parcel locker network. The customer picks up whenever it suits them, delivery costs less, and there are fewer failed deliveries. Standard delivery is to the door, with a courier and a time window.
How much do the integrations add to the price of a store?
One courier and one invoicing system are included in the base price. Anything beyond that - a second courier, an ERP, a marketplace connector - is quoted separately, based on the API and how much of your data has to be mapped.
