This cookie policy was last updated on 17 April 2026 and applies to citizens and permanent residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

1. Introduction

Our website, https://pronetdesign.ro (the "site"), uses cookies and similar technologies. This policy explains how we use them and what choices you have.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit. It lets the site remember your preferences and choices for a period of time.

3. Cookie categories

We run our own consent management platform (CMP), which sorts cookies into four categories:

3.1 Necessary cookies (always on)

These cookies are essential for the site to work and cannot be switched off:

pnet_consent - stores your consent choices (duration: 1 year, type: first-party)
PHPSESSID - PHP session required for security features (duration: session, type: first-party)
Google reCAPTCHA - anti-spam protection for forms; used as a necessary service with GDPR disclosure. Data is processed by Google LLC under the Google privacy policy.

3.2 Preference cookies

These let the site remember information that changes how it behaves or looks (for example the Google Maps embed on the contact page). They require your consent.

3.3 Statistics cookies

These help us understand how you use the site by collecting and reporting information anonymously:

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) - traffic analysis with IP anonymisation, no personally identifiable data
Google Tag Manager (GTM) - central tag management (if enabled)
Microsoft Clarity / Hotjar - anonymised heatmaps and session recordings (if enabled)

3.4 Marketing cookies

Used to track visitors across websites and show relevant ads:

Facebook Pixel - Meta conversion tracking and custom audiences (if enabled)
TikTok Pixel - TikTok Ads conversion tracking (if enabled)
LinkedIn Insight Tag - LinkedIn demographics and conversions (if enabled)
Google Ads - Google conversion tracking and remarketing (if enabled)

4. Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you give consent, every Google service (Analytics, Ads, Maps) runs in denied mode - no personal data is collected, remarketing stays off and no tracking cookies are stored. Once you accept a category, the matching services receive the granted signal in real time.

5. Managing your consent

On your first visit, a consent banner presents your options:

Accept all - enables every category
Reject - only necessary cookies stay active
Customise - choose category by category

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences button on the side of the page.

6. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent whenever you like, from the cookie preferences panel or by deleting the pnet_consent cookie in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that point.

7. Consent audit trail

Every consent decision is recorded in our audit system (SHA-256 salted IP hash, the real IP is never stored) as required by article 7 of the GDPR - the obligation to demonstrate consent.
